IFRS Standards 9

General objectives:
International Financial Reporting Standard 9 (IFRS 9) is the largest change in accounting for financial institutions since the adoption of international accounting standards in 2005.
This new standard introduces new concepts and changes many of the foregoing, with potential impacts on results, balance sheet, systems and processes, and reporting and other disclosures.
It also introduces changes in several areas, with emphasis on impairment, for example, passing from a model of losses incurred to expected losses, with financial impacts.
Another of the basic accounting areas that changes with this regulation is the classification and measurement of assets, with changes in concepts and consequently the structure of the balance sheets.
