Project Management & MS Projet and the FIDIC Contracts - Standards and Procedures in the Construction Sector
General objectives:
This course aims to provide participants with the knowledge of all the innovations and advantages of the policies inherent to the FIDIC Contracts in the Construction Sector, as well as to understand the project management using the best practices of project management, complemented by a practical approach of a case study supported in MS Project.
Specific objectives:
At the end of this course the trainees will be able to:
• Mastering the techniques and tools needed for project management;
• Correctly apply tools to support project planning;
• Know existing IT tools to improve project planning, organization and control;
• Design and plan a project with Microsoft Project;
• Use Microsoft Project to track the execution of a project;
• Perform Microsoft Project adaptation tasks to your specific needs;
• Understand and analyze the FIDIC Context: the Origin and Use of FIDIC Contractual Standards;
• Distinguish the different FIDIC Contract Types and their Conditions of Use;
• Understand the Interpretation and Scope of FIDIC Clauses in Construction Contracts;
• Perspectives on the Mechanisms of Contractual Performance for the Management of the Work;
• Clarify the Pre-Litigation and Contentious Phases in the FIDIC Context as well as the Alternative Means of Conflict Resolution.
